Why AE

See the view with the fence already in place.

The whole point of frameless glass is what it doesn't block. Render your yard with the fence positioned exactly where it'll go — see the sightline to the mountains, to the pool, from the kitchen — then we install to the inch.

Where we build

Local expertise across the Valley.

Scottsdale & North Scottsdale

Frameless glass for Silverleaf, Troon, and Desert Mountain.

North Scottsdale estates favor frameless glass with stainless mini-posts to preserve mountain and golf-course sightlines. AE installs 12mm tempered, heat-soaked glass with marine-grade 316 spigots — engineered for view-lot wind loads and full HOA design review.

Do Silverleaf and DC Ranch allow frameless glass pool fencing?+

Yes — both communities approve frameless glass pool barriers and frequently prefer them over block walls because they preserve the sightlines that drove lot value. AE submits stamped engineering and material cut sheets with every DRB package.

What wind load are Scottsdale glass fences designed to?+

We engineer to 90 mph design wind (ASCE 7) — the Maricopa County standard — with stainless spigots sized and spaced to the panel area. For exposed view lots we step the panel thickness or post spacing as needed.

Paradise Valley

View-preserving pool barriers for PV mountain lots.

PV's whole appeal is the view — Camelback, Mummy, Praying Monk. A block wall around the pool kills the buy. Frameless glass meets Town of Paradise Valley pool barrier code without giving up a single foot of sightline.

Does Town of Paradise Valley permit glass pool fencing?+

Yes — frameless glass is fully accepted as a code-compliant pool barrier under ARS §36-1681 and Town of PV building code. We pull all Town permits and coordinate inspection.

Will glass hold up to PV's mountain-side wind events?+

Yes — 12mm tempered, heat-soaked glass with properly sized 316 stainless spigots is engineered for the exact wind events PV view lots see. We've never replaced a panel from wind in a properly engineered AE install.

Phoenix · Arcadia · Biltmore

Discreet pool barriers for Arcadia remodels.

Arcadia and Biltmore remodels often add a pool barrier mid-renovation to meet code without disrupting the architecture. Frameless or semi-frameless glass is the cleanest answer — it disappears against mature landscaping and citrus.

Can you add glass fencing to an existing Arcadia pool deck?+

Yes — we core into existing concrete, travertine, and flagstone decks for spigot mounts with no damage to the surrounding surface. Most retrofits install in 2–3 days.

Does central Phoenix require pool fencing on remodels?+

Any pool sale, renovation, or final inspection in the City of Phoenix triggers the ARS §36-1681 barrier requirement. AE handles the permit and the code-compliant install in one package.

Cave Creek · Carefree · Fountain Hills

Frameless glass for hillside and view-lot homes.

Hillside lots in Cave Creek, Carefree, and Fountain Hills are where glass fencing earns its premium — the view is the asset. We engineer to the slope, the wind, and the dark-sky guidelines so the barrier is code-perfect and visually invisible.

Can glass fencing follow a sloped Cave Creek pool deck?+

Yes — we step the panels and spigot heights to follow grade, with continuous top-rail or stepped frameless panels. All transitions remain ARS §36-1681 compliant.

Do you install glass fencing in Fountain Hills?+

Yes — Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, and Tonto Hills are routine service areas. We pull Fountain Hills permits weekly and submit HOA packages to FireRock, Eagle Mountain, and Sunridge Canyon.

Common questions
Is glass pool fencing legal in Arizona?+

Yes — frameless and semi-frameless glass barriers are fully compliant with Arizona Revised Statutes §36-1681 and Maricopa County pool barrier code when installed at the correct height (60" minimum) with code-spec hardware and self-latching gates.

How much does glass pool fencing cost in Phoenix?+

Frameless glass runs $200–$375 per linear foot installed; semi-frameless runs $140–$220 per linear foot. A typical Scottsdale pool perimeter (60–100 linear feet) usually runs $14,000–$35,000 depending on glass thickness and hardware finish.

What's the difference between frameless and semi-frameless?+

Frameless uses minimalist stainless spigots (no top or vertical frames) and is the most modern, view-preserving option. Semi-frameless uses slim posts every 4–6 feet with no top rail. Both are equally code-compliant; the choice is purely aesthetic and budget-driven.

How thick is the glass?+

We install 12mm (1/2") tempered safety glass for residential frameless installs and 10mm for semi-frameless. All glass is heat-soaked tempered to virtually eliminate the risk of spontaneous fracture from nickel sulfide inclusions.

Will the glass break in monsoon storms?+

Tempered safety glass is engineered for high wind loads and impact. Properly installed frameless panels handle 90+ mph gusts. The most common monsoon issue is debris scratching — addressed with periodic professional cleaning, not replacement.

How do you clean glass pool fencing in Arizona?+

Phoenix hard water and dust mean monthly rinsing and a quarterly squeegee with a hard-water remover (CLR or a glass-specific calcium product). Most clients add glass cleaning to their existing pool service for an extra $25–$50 per month.

Can the fence be self-installed?+

We don't recommend it. Frameless installs require core-drilling into concrete or pavers, precision spigot placement, level glass-to-glass alignment, and code-compliant gate hardware. A failed inspection means tear-out and re-install.

Does glass fencing affect pool inspection?+

No — properly installed glass passes the same final pool barrier inspection as block wall or wrought-iron fencing. We coordinate the inspection directly with City of Scottsdale, Phoenix, or your jurisdiction.

Can you install around an existing pool?+

Yes — retrofitting glass fencing around an existing pool is one of our most-requested projects. We core-drill spigots into existing pool deck, set glass, and finish the deck cuts so the install looks original.

Will my HOA approve glass pool fencing?+

Most Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and DC Ranch HOAs approve glass barriers — many actively prefer them over view-blocking block walls. We provide HOA-ready submittal packages with elevations, materials, and code references.
